Basic Life Support (BLS)

Description

The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Classroom Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.

 

Content

• Critical concepts of high-quality CPR

• The Chain of Survival

• 1-Rescuer CPR and AED for adult, child and infant

• 2-Rescuer CPR and AED for adult, child and infant

• Differences between adult, child and infant rescue techniques

• Bag-mask techniques for adult, child and infant

• Rescue breathing for adult, child and infant

• Relief of choking/foreign body airway obstruction for adult, child and infant

• CPR with an advanced airway

 

Format

Video based-Instructor led, hands on class format reinforces skills proficiency and consistency

Initial Provider Course requires approximately 5-6 hours to complete, including skills practice, skills testing and written evaluation

 

Renewal Course requires approximately 4 hours, including skills practice and evaluation

 

Target Audience

For all healthcare providers such as

Physicians, dentists, nurses, respiratory therapists and x-ray technologists

Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED

This classroom, video-based, Instructor-led course teaches participants critical skills and knowledge needed to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) takes over. This course also teaches adult CPR AED.

 

Content

Includes:

• First aid basics (including scene safety, finding the problem, calling for help and more)

• Medical emergencies (including actions for choking, breathing problems, shock and more)

• Injury emergencies (including actions for bleeding, broken bones, burns and more)

• Environmental emergencies (including actions for bites and stings, and temperature-related and poison emergencies)

• Adult CPR AED (with a mask)

Optional modules include child CPR AED, and infant CPR, including child and infant choking

 

Format

Video based- Instructor led, hands on class format of Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED teaches skills using the  research-proven Practice-While-Watching technique, which allows Instructors to observe the students, provide feedback and guide the students’ acquisition of skills

 

Target Audience

This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid, CPR and AED to meet job, regulatory or other requirements.

Evaluation Step

Successful completion, including a skills demonstration and CPR AED skills test

 

Heartsaver® First Aid Course

Same as HS FA AED except This course does not include CPR or AED training.

 

Upon successful completion, including a skills demonstration, students receive a Heartsaver First Aid course completion card, valid for two years.

 

Family & Friends® CPR

Course Description/Content

 

The Family & Friends CPR Course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2010 Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care.

 

This video-based classroom course teaches adult Hands-Only™ CPR, adult AED use, child CPR and AED use, and infant CPR. It also teaches how to relieve choking in an adult, child or infant.

 

 

Format

Skills are taught using the research-proven Practice-While-Watching technique, which allows participants to practice skills while watching consistent, accurate modeling of skills performance on the course video. Adult, child and infant skills are presented in three separate modules for added flexibility

 

Target Audience

The Family & Friends CPR Course is for members of the general public who want to learn CPR and prefer to learn in an Instructor-led or facilitated group environment.

 

This course is for people who do not need a course completion card for a job or other requirements.

 

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

 

Description

The Course is based on recent international guidelines in advanced cardiovascular life support endorsed by SHA

This is an advanced, instructor-led classroom course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. The Course Curriculum includes Adult CPR, Airway management, Dysrhythmia interpretation and algorhythmic management and related pharmacology.

 

The Skills are taught in large, group sessions and small, group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented.

 

Content

• Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions,

use of a bag-mask device and use of an (AED)

• Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest

• Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions

• Airway management and vascular access skill lab

• ECG and dysrhythmia interpretation and related pharmacology

• Management of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and stroke

• Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team

• Effective Resuscitation Team Dynamics

 

Target Audience

It is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units and those whose job description mandates

 

Card Type

SHA Provider Card: Upon successful course completion, including demonstration of skills competency in all learning stations and passing the CPR and AED skills test, bag-mask ventilation skills test, a Megacode test and a written test, valid for two years

 

Evaluation Step

Multiple Choice Written Exams and Various Skills Test

 

Length

Initial Provider Course requires approximately 18 hours (approximately including breaks 3 days)  to complete, including skills practice and skills testing.

Renewal Course requires approximately 8-10 hours, including skills practice and skills testing (one day)

 

CME hours

Approved by SCHS fro 12 CME hours

NEONATAL RESUSCITATION PROGRAM (NRP)

 

Description

The NRP Course is designed to give the Healthcare provider the basic knowledge to care for the neonatal patient in cardiac arrest and to manage resuscitation efforts in conditions that may lead to arrest.

 

Objectives

  • Identify life-threatening conditions that will require resuscitation and identify

Risk factors that can help predict which infants may require resuscitation.

  • Identify the equipment and personnel needed to resuscitate a newborn.
  • Demonstrate cognitive and psychomotor skills needed to resuscitate and stabilize the neonate in Respiratory failure or cardiopulmonary arrest.
  • Demonstrate how to manage the post resuscitation period.

 

Target Audience

The NRP Provider Course is designed for neonatologists, pediatricians, emergency physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare providers who initiate and direct advanced life support in neonatal emergencies.

إختصاص طب النساء و التوليد

قررت الهيئة السعودية  للتخصصات الصحة الإعتراف بمستشفى الدكتور سليمان فقيه ، بجدة ، كمركز تدريبي و تعليمي لبرنامج الزمالة السعودية في إختصاص طب النساء و التوليد، في 2013 و لكن  قرر مركز مستشفى الدكتور سليمان فقيه البدء في الدراسة لهذ الإختصاص للمتقدمين لعام 2014 – 2015

لقم تم البدء بقبول الطلبات للعام القادم 2014 - 2015 إبتداء من 9/3/2014

 

   علما بأن الشروط والمستندات المطلوبة :

 1. تعبئة الاستمارة الإلكترونية عن طريق موقع الهيئة .

2. مختصر السيرة الذاتية.

3. صورة مُصدقة من شهادة البكالوريوس في الطب أو ما يُعادلها

4. صورة مُصدقة من شهادة الامتياز ( إذا كان يقضي فترة الإمتياز فعليه إحضار مايثبت ذلك ) .

5. صورة من السجل الأكاديمي

6. صورة من شهادة القبول الشامل سارية المفعول ( مدة هذه الشهادة خمس سنوات)

7. ثلاث توصيات مختومة ومُغلقة من استشاريين سبق له العمل معهم.

8. خطاب موافقة مبدئية على الالتحاق بالبرنامج من جهة العمل المُعتمدة (للموظفين )، وفي حال القبول إحضار خطاب التفرغ النهائي لكامل فترة البرنامج.

9. صورة من إثبات الشخصية ( الهوية الوطنية / جواز السفر / الإقامة )

10. ثلاث صور شخصية حديثة.

11. صورة من شهادة الـ BLS

12. إذا كان المتدرب مسجلاً في أحد البرامج التدريبية التابعة للهيئة السعودية فعليه القيام بإجراءات التحويل حسب اللائحة ( قبل انتهاء السنة التدريبية بـ 3 أشهر على الأقل ) ويستثنى من تقديمه على الاستمارة الالكترونية
