To emerge as a center of excellence in Health Professions Resuscitative Education and Skills Training in the region, and be a resource for Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital and other health Care Institutes as well as other Non Health Care Organization for community education in our field of expertise.

To elevate to International Standards and to play a key role in creating an environment at DSFH in which LSTC is valued as an integral and essential component of the Academic and Patient Care vision of DSFH.


Life Support Training Center’s mission is to educate the Health Care Professionals in Basic and Advanced Life Support Resuscitative Education & Training to maintain and hopefully improve the standard of emergent care throughout the Kingdom. The scope of services is expanded to the community and hence provides Heart Saver, First Aid and CPR for Family and Friends programs for lay rescuers.

LSTC introduces life support critical underpinnings and promotes excellence in education and training through evidence based curriculum set courses, other health care development initiatives such as Airway management and ECG Interpretation Courses and other related curricular activities in DSFH.


Life Support Training Centre is under the auspices of Academic and Training Affairs at Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital –Jeddah and is established in 2004. It provides life support courses ranging from Basic (like Basic Life Support (BLS) to Advanced (like ACLS –Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and PALS Pediatric Life Support for health care providers. It serves the mandate of Saudi Council for Health Specialties that all medical professionals working in the Kingdom must be at least BLS certified


The scope of services is expanded to the community and hence provides Heart Saver and First Aid programs for lay rescuers. Educating the public ensures a quick, effective response to a life threatening emergency as well as awareness of “Heart Smart” and/or healthy prudent life style to improve their overall quality of life.


The courses are based on interactive methodology focusing on knowledge acquisition, skill demonstration, skill integration, simulation and debriefing. The core emphasis is on the importance of knowledge, technical skills, teamwork and communication skills that enable participants to continue development to improve the patient outcome

The course curriculum is Updated Science based content-Key changes in resuscitative education reflecting the new science from the 2010 International Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care endorsed by Saudi Heart Association.
